I’ve met lots of dogs who are absolute stars at home… and totally different at the clinic. The car journey, the bright lights, the slippery floors, the smells of other animals — for some dogs it’s just too much.
Home visits change everything. Your dog stays in their familiar space, can sniff us out in their own time, and we can take things at *their* pace. That usually means a calmer dog, a better exam, and a nicer experience for you too.
We also get to see the real picture — how they walk on your hallway floor, how they settle on the sofa, and what “normal” looks like for them at home. That’s especially useful for pain, mobility and behaviour questions.
This is especially helpful for:
- Senior dogs who find travel tiring or stressful
- Dogs with arthritis or mobility issues — we can assess them where they move every day
- Large dogs who are hard to lift or fit in a car
- Anxious or reactive dogs who struggle around other animals
- Rescue dogs who are still learning the world is safe
- Multi-dog households where bringing everyone to the clinic is… an event
If your dog is the kind who side-eyes the car, freezes at the practice door, or turns into a different dog on the exam table — you’re exactly who we built this for.
